Praise God!

Hello Friend,

Wow! I am finally done (for now) with school! I praise God. I finished my last class Thursday night but couldn't start jumping up and down till now. I still had a final paper to submit for a course. I just sent it in to my instructor and got a confirmation he received it PHewww!. I feel like a huge load has just been lifted off my shoulders I'm telling you. The last three or is it four weeks, were crazy! I had so much workload it was unbelievable. I was almost pulling my hair out. I was so weak. I just thank God I could actually do the 12 day fasting. I don't know how but it was just by his strength. I hope you did too. Our 2008 is settled in the mighty name of Jesus.

I really want to testify to the goodness of God. It's not like there are no challenges such as finances, balancing all aspects of one's life etc but through it all there is only one constant thing and that is the love of God. Last year during our prayer and fasts, concerning my academics. I prayed that I would be finished by Dec 2008, that my G.P.A would 4.0 and that I would have no student loans and not owe my school a penny. God did it oh! I bless God for His mercy and give Him all the glory. It really pays to serve God. I just remember when I was going to school in the snow with my huge belly, broke, stressed (emotionally and physically) and sick. I almost lost my faith that it would all happen but God strengthened me. He kept me through it all. There are challenges and always will be but the word of God says, "He will never leave nor forsake you" Hebrews 13:5.

Not only that I finished school on Thursday, and I got a job on Wednesday. I'll be starting in three weeks, and am really appreciative and grateful for that. It's not completely full time but I'm thinking that extra time will be useful for my business or what do you think? The three weeks before I start I'm planning to finish up my website. By God's grace I'll be able to finish it or least get really close to finishing.

I really missed you oh! I was beginning to forget a lot of things cos my brain was just overheating. My last exam was even awful ehn hen that's true haven't gisted you about that. I still have one more grade to check oh! I got my exam results in my last class on Thursday and i wasn't happy about it. I knew the score would be like that cos on the exam day I was so overwhelmed I just couldn't think. Right now I am falling borderline btw an A and a B. I am believing God that it will be an A hence I'm giving my testimony in church tomorrow. Stepping out in faith concerning it.

I'd just like to leave you with the fact that not matter what we desire, we should always desire the things of God first. If we do that, then God will grant us the other things we did not ask for. The key is to focus on Him and serve Him fervently.

"For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it". Proverbs 8:11
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you". Matthew 6:33
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God". Hebrews 12:2

My Bday!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Great I'm sure. It's my bday today!!! hip hip hip hooray! The fasting and prayer has been going really great honestly and today was no exception. I would have loved to be in service to listen to the sermon but I was upstairs in the children's department (boy was that hectic). I had to teach the two year olds'. It was fun and I know God will not forget my labor of love. I'm online now trying to watch to video, so I can be uplifted in my spirit.

Got calls from naija and the UK from so many people even those that I did not expect it was kool. My grandparents even sent me a card all the way from Osun state, they always do and never miss it. So kool. I have to say though that apart from their card I only got 1 other one. No cake, no food/dinner, no gift but I tell you the spiritual gift from God is just the best. Spending most of my day in church and in His presence is always the ultimate for me. I know it makes one feel really good to get physical stuff and it can be quite a bummer not to receive them (need a Buki appreciation day) but Jesus filled the gap, He always does. Halleluyah.

I am grateful for life, for His mercy, for grace, for divine health, for my family, for my tomorrow, for all God has done in every area of my life and will continue to do, I praise and honour Him. Today we prayed for our 9th month of the year 2008. I have to log off to concentrate on taking the prayers online before midnight. You can always listen to the prayer we take everyday as well and take them for yourself and your family. It is much more encouraging and intense when you hear the voice of others taking the prayers with you. Click here to listen.

I have to go print my final project tomorrow, so I'm going to be up all night editing the last draft. Hope to catch you Tuesday. I exhort you to begin your week afresh and anew with Christ as your centre focus. It is well.

12 day fast

Hello Friend!

How are you doing? I trust you are great. Was just singing this song:

Thank you Jesus
Thank you my Lord
Whatever i am now
It is by your grace
Many are dying
Many are perishing
Whatever i am now
It is by your grace.

Just watch or listen to radio and TV, you will appreciate the little you have. There are children dying of hunger and disease. I want to encourage you today to give. We are all like struggling to get a career going, be it at work or in business etc but we just need to pause to take a look at those that do not have anything. I heard a story yday! Someone said he was freezing in the snow at the bus stop. He had just relocated and was going to work but didn't have a jacket. Someone saw him, ran home to get an extra jacket he had, and came back to the bus stop to give it to him.

Moral of the story? Whatever little it may be. We ought to help our neighbour. Life right now can be so consuming with bills, school fees, mortgages, little things like bus fair or what you desire to own, whatever responsibility it may be; let's remember to reach out with the little we have.

We are currently on a 12 day fast in my church (Dec1- Dec12) for every month of the year in 2008. 2008 is going to be a year full of extra blessings by the grace of God. This is the time to deal with issues in prayer and to wait on God and seek His face concerning what to do and what not to do for 2008. If you're not saved this is the time to ask Jesus into your life or if you're saved and maybe you need to rededicate your life to Him please do, cos the salvation is pertinent to the fasting and prayer. Everything I prayed for last year concerning my personal life this year, God accomplished in 2007. I will encourage you to do it this year.

Each day start you can start your fasting at midnight and then break at 3pm the following day. Those who can take it till 6pm should. It's day 3 already (sorry i posted late) (sorry i posted late) but you can continue. So today we're praying for March 2008. Pray throughout the day whenever you can till you break. The Holy Spirit will guide you.

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force" Matthew 11:12
"Let the redeemed of the LORD say so..." Psalm 107:2
"Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting" Matthew 17:21
"For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers:..." 1 Peter 3:12
May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

Avalon - Testify To Love

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Great I'm sure. I was listening to this song this morning, and I just got goose bumps all over. It is great to know that the least of the things I can do for all God has done for me, is to testlfy of His Love. He is love.

Thank you Jesus for the privilege to be a witness to Your love.

Be blessed as you listen.

Much needed rest!

Hello friend,

How are you doing today? Great I'm sure. How was your thanksgiving weekend? Mine was very dry and I needed the rest. Used the period to catch up on much needed sleep, etc. There was lots going on as usual especially eating and shopping. Didn't even do any black Friday shopping but next year I'm there! lol. Really tough past 2 wks, so much gist flew esp. during the past week oh! but I guess I'll be chipping it in along the way (other posts). God just bulldozed through it all for me.

Have you heard about this detox diet thing a lot of people are talking about now? Well it's all about juicing different vegetable and drinking only that or a variety for 3 days or so. The fruit fast diet is something that has been popular for a long time but the vegetable diet has really a fad right now. I guess with this new deal of everyone trying to eat healthier, it's taken on with some. Doctors say they use it to detox patients before surgery. I was watching Oprah sometime ago and I remember Dr. Oz saying it wasn't going to get rid of toxins in the body but is a great start to eating healthier. Don't really know.

Really sometimes we just eat too much junk and need to cleanse our systems. I found this link on Rachael ray's website. You can actually order the products from them online. I'm just checking out the website myself. Once I saw it on TV, my next trip to the grocery store included stopping by the celery corner lol. I tried making my own super duper drink (celery and apples). Boy oh boy, the taste was so awful. Needless to say some of the celery is still in the fridge, But I'll try it again tomorrow. I can say this for sure, having more vegetables in my system made a difference, even it is was psychological. It made me feel healthier.

It's the beginning of yet another week. We praise God. God is really good. Can you imagine it's the end of the year? Unbelievable. Yday's service in church was an anointing service. I received my anointing to gather soooo much. You just need to listen to message. Click here.

If you can please take the prayers we took. Some of the things he said were: A person of prayer cannot be depressed (Prayer assumes you of what you have not seen), Ignorance is no answer to spiritual things (My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge Hosea 4: 6a), our ability to receive determines how much we can receive from God (our vessel to receive is faith). Soooo many things. God bless you as you listen. you can also open http://www.biblegateway.com/ to follow the bible passages.

May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

Crunch Time!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Seeing less and less of me right? Well it's just for a while. It really is crunch time oh! Forget!!! I have 3 wks to go in school and it is crazeee. You know when u're almost at the end of any journey, that is when the pain really kicks in, be it a race, pregnancy, journey, you name it.

I just had to go like God this is when I need you the most. We had prayer on Tuesday in church (small group) and we were all like praying through our noses lol. low voices and much more sitting, and leaning than the usual aggressive pacing. lol. I mean you could just tell the atmosphere was a bit un-aggressive. Our pastor joined us towards the end and was like 'when you don't feel like praying, that when u need to use all your might and all that is left within you the most'. In our subconscious we all know that, but sometimes it needs to be announced to us. That is exactly how I will treat my assignments and classes for the rest of the three weeks. I'm about tired of presentations, assignments, project work, tests, exams, discussions ...etc but ow is the time to bring it all home. Ruuhaaa! Go buks! (lol. ah! it's true. Need to psyche myself. Game on). God is my strength. Without him I am nothing.

So a lot has happened in the past week. My daughter had her bday. Yipee! That was nice. All we did was eat. No party. She just did the normal cake cutting and singing in church but at home we ate up a storm. That was fun. We're also practicing for our dance, and drama in church. It really is a big deal cos we haven't done our usual drama/dance in church for a while, for a long while, infact since I was like 5mths pregnant. Long time. So it's finally good to be back on track with that. We thank God. Looking froward to teaching the kids a christmas carol dance too. That would be great to celebrate Christ at christmas don't you think?

To encourage you this morning, I want you to remember what my Pastor said above. I also want you to know that it is never, never too late to pursue your dreams. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. My Father in heaven is faithful to do it for you, as long as you believe. If you're in the middle of pursuing your dreams, don't give up. Circumstances may seem like it's no longer worth chasing or people may discourage or oppress you but as long as you keep in line with the will of God concerning it, He is faithful and will complete it.

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" Phil 1:6

"Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass". Psalm 37:5

Let go and let God!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? I'm Sure you've been pretty busy. Had a bit of a flood in our basement on Thursday and it's been something else trying to get it all clean it all up. By God's grace in like another week, it should all be a thing of the past (completely gisting you about it may take a whole post). School's hectic too, so much work that I had a presentation last week and almost blanked out. Just kept talking, all I had planned quickly flew out of the window but I didn't run out of what to say which was good. Beat myself up about it all week cos I wanted it to be perfect but...

Counting the days to be done. Wow I just can't believe it. God is really a faithful God. Service on Sunday was really beautiful. A guest minister (Pastor Tola Odutola) came over to preach a message titled 'Our God is a God of twist'. It was really powerful. God is God, and no one can question his actions or decisions. Situations do not decrease God from being who he is. He talked about God sending Jesus to the world to save us in such an unpredictable way that so many people refused to believe that Jesus was and is the son of God. People expected Jesus to come in such a grandiose way. How could the son of the most high God be a carpenter's son. Some of us are of the thought that we would have believed but if we imagine the situation of a single lady getting pregnant with the promised son in 2007 to be born to a carpenter and for it to be said that he is the son of God. We would most likely have condemned it all.

It may seem that God is not showing himself in your situation but by the time He shows up, the twist will be so miraculous, it will be obvious that it is only God that could have done it. The message spoke to many issues and it was so powerful. You can check it out. Click here.

My general message for today is let go and let God. He is the only one who knows how to manipulate situations to best fit us. All wee need to do is follow his word faithfully (righteousness). It is well. May God help all of us in Jesus mighty name.

Checklists & more!

Hello friend,

How are you doing today? You don't even want to know about my week. Kinda joyous about it being Friday. I'm hoping the weekend will be quiet but with kids I guess not. Won't want then to be too quiet anyway. You know what they always say like 'you want something, and then again thinking about it you don't' lol.

Anyhow, I have some great info I wanted to share with you for the last two days so I'm just going to jumble it all up. Firstly, I found some great checklists online, and I thot I'd share them with you. They're really kool.

Long Time!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Long time right? lol. Mennn! Last week was something else (the next few weeks will equally be tasking as I round up). I got only about six (6) hrs sleep in four (5) days. I was prepared to break down. I thought my body was just going to shut down cos it was really bad, but glory be to God I'm doing great. By Saturday my eyes were glazed in class, honestly. I don't mean to stress it but I actually feared that I would just fall flat on the table with a hug thump, but thank God.

I really had lots to share with you during the process of the week but couldn't. I was kinda wishing blogs could be recorded by voice so I won't have to miss uploading posts for you to read. I completed one of my classes (Leadership) on Saturday (the class I was talking about above) with a highly knowledgeable consultant and it was great. I would like to share two things with you from this class.

There is nothing that we learn in the world that is not founded in the Word of God you know. The first thing I'd like to share with you is 'to effect change you have to end a process to begin a new one'. Isn't that something a lot of times when we want to change things we're all about I'll begin to do this, and I'll begin to do that, and we forget about what we need to end so that the new things we're starting are not in vain. For effective change, there has to be a demarcation. I was impressed. That is key information. It's just like trying saying 'I'm born again' yet do the things of the world. That is not an effective change. Or saying 'I want to have a healthy and trim body' yet still sit down in front of the TV and consume five (5) pieces of meat with a meal.

The second thing is; for effective change we need a vision and a vision is important to know where one is headed, to create forward momentum and to draw resources. We've always heard that we need to have a vision in the bible. We've also heard that once we have a vision, God will grant us the provision we need. So what we learn from the Word of God and in the house of God is really more than enough equipment for this world. Whatever it is you might want to achieve, have a vision, write it down, have a Word to support it, and remember to end the things/habits that may run against it.

God is truly the best teacher. May He continually teach us and help us in Jesus mighty name. It is well.

L8r

"And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry". Hab 2:2-3

Burning the Midnight Candle!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? I was chatting with another friend of mine and I got today's title from her. Well I am presently burning the midnight candle. It's basically the only time I have to do the work that I have to do, to get the kind of grade that I want and desire. So no sleep for a while. Did the same thing thru the weekend needless to say I got a nasty headache just after church yday. So I just had to sleep for like 2 hrs. My lil'baby wasn't ready to sleep of course but figured out a way to prop him in his bouncing sleeper. How do you get to sleep with kids that aren't ready to sleep around. Well TV and bouncing sleepers can get you like 40mins. lol.

I would really have loved to gist about the project i am actually doing but...long story ... and then it'll probably be a bunch of jargons' to you. Need to get back to work cos my day will begin shortly. Will however love to encourage you this morning. The main scripture we took yday in church was Joshua 1: 8. We all know the verse. very popular but ask yourself if you truly practice it. It says "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success".

We need to have a Word for every issue concerning our lives as believers (depart out of thy mouth). We need to also read the Word, not just read it but meditate upon it during the day and not just during the day alone but at night as well. Our mind should not just be preoccupied with worldly things (bills, kids, marriages, wives, husbands, jobs, career, school etc) but it should also be preoccupied with what we read from the Word. Now after doing all this, we still need to act them out, u know, be a hearer and not just a doer. And get this... not just some things oh...'ALL that is written therein'. THEN... meaning after you have done all that...Then...thou shall make thy way prosperous. Prosperity is one the first level of success. The next level is good success.

My Pastor said some people can be prosperous and not have good success but you can not have good success without being prosperous. The example he gave, some stars(Hollywood) may be prosperous and have lots of money but a lot of them do not have good success (other areas of their lives fail or are heavily lacking). May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

The Rod in Your Hand!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? How was your weekend? I trust that it was great. I had a marvellous week last week. We had our week long anniversary program in Church and it was glorious.

Where do I start from? Had late nights so I couldn't put posts up. What I will do is try to encourage you this morning, as you start your glorious week. We learnt yesterday about the rod in our hands. To understand this fully, you need to read Exodus 1-4. Pastor Agu Irukwu shared a lot of powerful things with us. We know the story of Moses, the circumstances in which he had been born, and how he ended up in the palace. This is someone who had been marked for death, but was saved when his mother put him in the Nile and asked his sister to watch his basket from afar to see what would become of him. Pharaoh's daughter found him and we know the rest of the story. So he grew up in the palace a s Pharaoh's daughter's son. He killed an Egyptian and when he discovered that some Israelites had discovered what he did he fled. He eventually got married and served as a shepherd in his father in law's territory.

Now check this out, Pastor Agu explained that for forty years, Moses did the same thing. He woke up and went to work, tending to the sheep with his staff/rod in his hand. He was probably so used to the route that he could tell the trees on the route apart. a lot of us are in the same routine. Doing the same thing everyday. Eating the same thing, wearing the same nightie/pj's, the same desk, the same snack everyday,, the same car route, the same channel. He was like, we need to be delivered from the mundane. Anyhow, so Moses went about going on his same route and this day, he noticed something different. A burning bush.

Now if you read the whole thing, God during their conversation told Moses to drop his rod/staff. Exo 4: 1-5 "Moses answered, "What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, 'The LORD did not appear to you'?" Then the LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?" "A staff," he replied. The LORD said, "Throw it on the ground." Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it. Then the LORD said to him, "Reach out your hand and take it by the tail." So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand. "This," said the LORD, "is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you."

God asked Moses what was in his hands. It is not that God didn't know what was in Moses' hand but he wanted him to acknowledge it. In the same way, we need to ask God to reveal to us what is in our hands because whatever it is God can use it for His glory and that will elevate us and grant us divine results. For some people they talk well, God can use that to turn your life around, for some people it is organizing, you just love to organize things, God can catapult you to greatness with that. For some people it is listening, it can be anything. The sermon was so exhaustive. I have heard a similar message before but this just hit home again, especially to move me into divine results.

I pray God shall reveal the rod in your hands to you as well.

Breastplate of Righteousness

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Been a while cos of my work deadlines but we thank God. Couldn't wait to gist you a bit about some of the things I learnt on Sunday during workers meeting in church. Eph 6:14 says "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;". We had learnt about how important our loins need to be girt with the truth the previous Sunday. It basically is like using a belt to hold up your pants which are kinda big/loose. Without the belt, your pants could fall. In the same way if you do not girt yourself with the truth, you leave yourself exposed as a believer. You need to take that in slowly...

Concerning the righteousness aspect, my Pastor explained it like 'what does the breastplate protect?', and seriously thinking about it, when soldiers go to war and wear breastplates, it's to protect the heart. One strike through it and the person is gone... That is the most high risk area. As a believer we therefore need to be right standing before God at all times. Does anyone go to battle and remove his breastplate for a short while to rest??? No! I doubt it anyone would do that.

Doesn't that just make you go 'ah!' or 'hmmn!'. It makes so much sense. Paul began the battle essentials by saying in verse 12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places". Check out the whole scripture Eph 6:12-18. So there are other weapons. We're learning lots about them. Please do as well.

May God help us as we do His will in Jesus mighty name

We are Overcomers!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? I trust you are doing great. My weekend was really pleasant. Well, I wanted you to start this week with this cos I am starting mine with that attitude, and much more.

"This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God"

Like Chocolate?

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Well I'm sure. Have to complete most of my project work due Tues morning right now. I'm so thankful to God for His goodness. This morning I was just thinking about how wonderful He has been to me. I especially was thinking about me praying that I couldn't wait for my daughter to start talking and repeating words consistently. I was becoming worried and he has done it. I had to ask for forgiveness this morning cos after He did it, I forgot to give Him special thanks. You know we always do that, ask for things and once He has done it we forget to thank Him specially. May God help us all.

I also have dance practice today in church. I'm really looking forward to it. We haven't had any major practice since I got pregnant the last time. So looking forward to that. Who likes chocolate? There is this chocolate chip muffin that's just the best, made by Otis Spunkmeyer. Really popular in schools. It's great for kid's bday parties/get together's as well. One can dress it up for other occasions as well. Just being goofy with the chocolate chip muffin today, what can I say? But really planning one of those thingies', you should get this muffin. (Walmart, Sam's club etc carry it).

(God's Name Is) I Am - Nicole Nordeman - Psalm 139

I couldn't resist puttin the video up. It's 5.48 minutes of sincere worship. I pray you'll be blessed as you watch and listen. I'm big on lyrics, so here it is below.

Pencil marks on a wall, I wasn't always this tall
You scattered some monsters from beneath my bed
You watched my team win
You watched my team lose
Watched when my bicycle went down again
And when I was weak, unable to speak
Still I could call You by name
And I said, Elbow Healer, Superhero
Come if You can
You said, I Am

Only sixteen, life is so mean
What kind of curfew is at 10pm?
You saw my mistakes
And watched my heart break
Heard when I swore I'd never love again
And when I was weak, unable to speak
Still I could call You by name
And I said Heartache Healer, Secret Keeper
Be my best friend
And you said, I Am

You saw me wear white by pale candlelight
I said forever to what lies ahead
Two kids and a dream, with kids that can scream
Too much it might seem when it is 2am
And when I am weak, unable to speak
Still I will call You by name
Shepherd, Savior, Pasture Maker
Hold onto my hand
You say, I Am

The winds of change and circumstance blow in and all around us
So we find a foothold that's familiar
And bless the moments that we feel You nearer

When life had begun, I was woven and spun
You let the angels dance around the throne
And who can say when, but they'll dance again
When I am free and finally headed home
I will be weak, unable to speak
Still I will call You by name
Creator, Maker, Life Sustainer
Comforter, Healer, my Redeemer
Lord and King, Beginning and the End

I Am
Yes, I Am

Wow!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Great I'm sure. Thank God for yet another great day, and yet another opportunity to write/type lol. I have a lot of work to do as per school work. I just don't want to think of it and sometimes I feel like hyperventilating when I begin to think of it. Just need to take a deep breath, and take it one step at a time. It is well. That's why we need to just love praise cos it takes us to another place. Check this out, on my way to drop my daugther this morning, I was listening to KTIS (Christian radio) and the guy was saying 'when you give or pour yourself out to others as a believer, you notice it brings growth unto you/your life (especially spiritually)', and it is so true... really.

Also been working on my website. Hmmn, that's a story for another day but it's coming along great. The enthusiasm I started with was beginning to fade out, and I had abandoned it for the past 2 days cos of school work but my husband just asked me about it like an hr ago. So... I guess I decided to log on to look at 'how much work I still have on it' before going to bed. Also kind was discouraged cos two of the people I got to work along side me suddenly quit on me.

One, cos she got a job with a media house which I absolutely had no issue with, and the 2nd person cos she wanted 50/50 stakes. That I had issues with so we agreed to go separate ways. You know when the bible says 'all things work together for our good...'. I have a paper I'm supposed to turn in, in 2 weeks and it's supposed to be about employees one has issues with, and how to employ situational leadership. It just all makes sense now, and I can write that paper with all understanding. Training for the future I believe. I LOVE a challenge. It brings about a move to the next level. So excited...

One of my fave songs is 'I am' by Nicole Nordeman. Just makes me fall in love with God all over each time I listen to it.

Wanted to share her new CD with you. Check it out on her website by clicking on the pic. You can launch the music player to listen to bits of the songs. Really wish I could go see her at the 'Women of Faith' Conference, cos she'll be here in Minnesota soon. Click here for her tour dates.

Who are we???

Hello Friend, How are you today? I'm sure your weekend was great. Check this video out. "Casting Crowns - Who am I". Who are we seriously???, that God is even mindful of us??? If we think about this for a second, we'll forget about how tired, stressed or discouraged we might be. If I begin to talk about all the reflection this song brings, don't know when I'll be done. Be blessed as you watch and listen. The lyrics are below.

Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.

Bridge:
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.

I am yours.

Whom shall I fear?
Whom shall I fear?
'Cause I am yours.
I am yours.
I am yours

Biz!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? My work load is a lot but this is what I had prayed for so, I am enjoying every bit of it. I am still trying to get the extension of my biz of the road. Can you imagine that I am actually building the new website myself? Well it may take me two years, LOL but I'll get it finished someday (considering it has to come after so many other things too).

Anyhow decided to put some links together for you. Not exhaustive but a good place to start for anyone interested.

Basically the popular ones, and some of my faves but most of all, it's nice just to have them on one page.

My Year of Divine Results!

Hello Friend!

How are you doing today? My project submission went well. Thank God. I still have I believe 7 more to go. Hadn't slept for like two days but got to yday night. lol. My husband didn't want me driving yday cos he knew I hadn't closed my eyes for so long lol. Twas raining 'very' heavily, dark clouds, foggy atmosphere (poor visibility). Right timing!!! lol. Anyhow thank God. I made it to and from my submission and presentation.

In relation to the title, we celebrate our anniversary in church every September. So we began another year on the 15th and our/my prophecy for our next year is divine results. The results shall be great. I am soooooo excited. Don't we all love great results. Who doesn't... So that's the season I am in right now.

Check this out. My Pastor said something during his message last week that I'd like to share with you.
"When you do not produce results, your value decreases"

Omo!!! (slang). He said think about it. At work, if you don't produce the results required on a project, the consequences may vary but the general idea is that it devalues you. However, when you produce results, great results, your value increases. Look at the story of Joseph for instance, when he was the only one that could interpret the dream (result) he was greatly increased.

I think we need to ponder upon that sentence. It applies to every area of our lives.

Giving!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? And how was your weekend? Great I'm sure. We thank God for the beginning of yet another week. Monday... Lots of work... Anyhow, Like you know I've started my project/capstone and believe me it's a lot of work. I have a deadline tomorrow to get my 2nd section in and I haven't even cut through the first 10 lines. Needless to say, I'll be here all day. I hate last minute work and really try to work hard to avoid it but...

We have a donation thingy going on in church. Our Pastor came up with like an open forum to give different products to church, so church could give it to kids in school. That is the basic gist don't want to go into that much details but I kinda love the idea of spreading joy to others around us in a wise way. I remember when I first gave my life to Christ. The question of how to give and when to give always came up, and I learnt that there is also wisdom in giving. For instance then in college, a classmate could come ask me for money saying he needs it for a textbook and I would/could easily guess that the textbook meant alcohol later in the day. You know what I'm talking about!!! You might have faced a different situation but the same general idea. It was confusing. How do you tell cos sometimes you don't have enough to go round so...

Remember the man at the beautiful gate, what he really needed was healing. Peter could have given him money and moved on but what he gave him was what he needed. The disciples also in Acts 4:32-35 distributed possessions according to a man's need. Verse 34 says "There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time...". Can you imagine! So where ever we find ourselves there shouldn't be a need amongst us. How??? Well...

What we can do is ask for wisdom and revelation. We can't do it of ourselves. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" James 1:5. There are so many passages we can go through for giving but let's round up with "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again" Luke 6:38 May God help us in Jesus name.

Wish me all the best with my project submission tomorrow. lol. It is well.

Hey!

Hello friend,

How are you doing? Been a while. I actually posted on Monday but it was a video and wasn't playing so I had to take it off. I have two classes going and lots of assignments already and guess what else happened. In the process of trying to carry my daughter out of the car and shut the door quickly, I caught my finger in the door. Hmmn! How can I describe it. The pain was incredible. So much pain that I was dizzy and nauseous at the same time. I didn't go to the clinic though. but may need to now cos it's so swollen and is still extremely painful. So... I'm on 'typing' leave. LOL.

Anywho... I'd like to leave you with this. We had a guest minister over on Sunday, and I was truly blessed. You can listen to his message here. Just click on the play button right next to Pastor Tope Dosunmu. I have to listen to it again.

Divine Elevation!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing? Great I'm sure. Yday was aiight. Wore this pair of heels to class the previous day and was nursing my feet today. Can u imagine! I haven't had it that bad in a very long while. That's part of the pain we 'have to' go through. Some may think otherwise about the 'have to' but for me, It's part of being a woman and looking professional. Told my husband I may not wear the shoes again but won't be surprised if I find my feet in them again pretty soon. They are not tight oh! Infact there's a bit of room for my feet but it's the 'peep toe' part/area that is just... I don't know. LOL

Anyhow. Yday night was bible study as usual, and there was so much that we learnt but I'll just kinda share a short part with you. As I mentioned before, we're in our month of divine elevation, and so we were talking bout elevation (Assistant Pastor). Check this out. In Esther Chapter 6 NIV, the bible says,

"That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him. It was found recorded there that Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's officers who guarded the doorway, who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes". v:1-2

In these verses, we learn that because of Mordecai's matter/situation, there came a night, 'one night', that the king could not sleep. Secondly, there was actually a book of records in which events had been recorded. So, how does this apply to us? Well, all my (our) actions are being recorded by God. God sees everything. He knows what I need and don't need. He is marking down my good works, and will reward my labor of love. as we all work hard everyday, serve God and pray to Him, He will in return move on our behalf. If there is a reward that we ought to have, that has gone by, there will come a night when whoever owes us that reward will not be able to sleep until he grants us what we are owed.

You need to read the whole of Esther to completely grasp. So that night, the King discovered that Mordecai had exposed two people who had tried to assassinate him. In v.3 he asked "What honor and recognition has Mordecai received for this?" and the attendants replied "Nothing has been done for him,". Do you know what happened next? The King called Haman (the man who wanted and had already planned Mordecai death) and asked him what he should do for someone he wanted to honor. Of course Haman thought the King was talking about him (Haman). So he replied in v. 7-9

"So he answered the king, "For the man the king delights to honor, have them bring a royal robe the king has worn and a horse the king has ridden, one with a royal crest placed on its head. Then let the robe and horse be entrusted to one of the king's most noble princes. Let them robe the man the king delights to honor, and lead him on the horse through the city streets, proclaiming before him, 'This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!' "

The king ordered Haman to do all he had recommended for Mordecai. You can imagine his shock. Talk about divine elevation. The person whom Haman had oppressed had now been elevated to the position of 'his oppressor'. So to say. You can read the rest of the book of Esther. You'll discover the incredible end. Asst. Pastor was trying to buttress points like:
  • We should be humble and God will exalt us
  • We should obey the rules that govern us e.g. state rules, office rules etc (she gave examples like people trying to break the US rules when they get here in the bid to be exalted, not knowing that, 'that' in itself is a recipe for downfall. She was like' that is like sleeping with Potiphar's wife not knowing that a throne in Egypt has been prepared for you. If Joseph had slept with her only God knows where he would have ended up, one can almost be a guarantee that he would have missed it, big time!)
  • We should have the right attitude (you can imagine if Mordecai had been bitter, made silly comments or acted irrationally, he may not have been exalted at the end of the day you know!).
  • We should live a righteous life ( As long as you live and work for God, God will never, NEVER forsake you. 'Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: "for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me' Hebrew 13:5-6. "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread". Psalm 37:25 and my favorite "As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."Romans 10:11

She mentioned so many others but ... I think post for today is long enough. I believe if it is just this you take with you today you'll be highly blessed and favored. Thanks for your time today. May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

Capstone!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Great I'm sure. Yday, I had my first class on my capstone (project/dissertation). Went well. We were all intimated with the amount of work we will be doing for the semester LOL, and everytime I think bout it, it's like I have a load on my shoulders. It is well. By God's grace it will soon be over. Can't wait to be done. yehaaw! Don't mind me.

Can't help but feel everyone is carrying loads on their shoulders as well, huge ones. mennn!!! Even the environment feels heavy. So many complaints and issues etc. Na real wa! Remember the song "cast ur burden, upon Jesus for He cares for you... higher, higher, higher..."LOL. I was chatting with someone yday (catching up) and he was so bitter (I'm sure he didn't even realise it), that was when it hit me . Issues/challenges are there and will always be there. No one is suddenly going to make all issues disappear into thin air. So, what do we do with them? Not allow them to become problems. hmmn. Dt's my take on it. The dictionary defines both words similarly, almost the same, but with problems the word 'difficult' is introduced. For example if I have issues with a co worker, it'll be best to hope the issues are quickly resolved as opposed to compounding it, into a problem. Then it may become a difficult situation. U get!

Who doesn't have issues and challenges? We all do!!! Some even carry other people's issues as well as theirs' and are still doing great.Dwelling on challenges/issues may cause them to become problems. Talking about issues are kool, very kool. But we talk about it, then we proffer solutions, and dwell on the solutions not the issues. For us believers a constant dwelling should be the Word, the Holy Spirit and God.

Every issue/challenge is a testing of our faith. There is growth and glory at the end of it cos just like going thru e.g. a project/capstone, at the end u'd move to another level of glory/growth. So go through it as best u can, cos at the end u'd only look back and smile (as u remember it all), getting ready to overcome the next hurdle. Remember life is a journey.

"Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:... 1 Peter 1 6-7 NIV

May God help us all in Jesus mighty name. Ask for His help. God can.

End Times!!!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Twas Labor Day yday, and we all had a day to spend with the family. Very kool. My final semester begins today and I'm so thankful to God. He has been faithful. My weekend was full of exercise lol. My daughter began her potty training on Friday and ... I know all the mums that have been there done that are feeling me right now. (sigh). Had to and still have to take her every 30 mins. The earlier she gets it the better, so I don't mind the stress now if it won't last too long. Nothing good comes easy lol.

Wanted to talk about the end times today. We don't have many preachers who talk about or remind us that we have to be rapturable cos it's a scary topic to most. A lot of believers haven't even opened revelations to read. Yeah ... feel ya cos it's pretty hard to understand... not all of it but a lot of it... But check out what the bible says in Rev 1:3 "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand". So reading it and/or hearing the words of prophecy therein, and u're blessed.

I was also reminded while watching I believe it was Adrian Rogers on TBN this weekend bout the following phrase. I wanted to share this explanation of 'the time is at hand'. Check this out. The bible says we are at the end times, and that 'the time is at hand' and that 'no one knows when the world will end'. it will all happen 'in the twinkling of an eye' 1 Cor 15: 52. Anyway so back to the explanation. He said, a lot of people see the end time as a time we are approaching e.g. how can I explain it like he did. Ummn okay... Bend down and draw a line across the floor (horizontally), move back like 5 yards and begin to approach that line. That is how we all view the end of the world. Like God has set a time ('the line') , only God knows where the line is, and we are approaching it, and when we get to the line, there's no floor after that.

But he explained the time is at hand isn't like that, the end time isn't like that. We are in it. This time draw a long vertical line, and begin to walk along it like a gymnast on a balance beam. We are all walking across the balance beam and at any moment, the beam will be shaken and of course you know what that means. So as opposed to moving towards the line, we are actually walking the line. Can u believe that??? I think that if more of us realize that, we won't postpone living our lives the way God wants us to. Today is the day to serve Him. To confess Him and believe and trust in Him.

God is not a scary God but we need to rever Him and fear His judgment. It is my prayer that with all the cares of this world that we have (provision for our children, succeeding in our careers, finances, being a good spouse, business, looking good and so so many other), we will not miss being rapturable. Amen. We can still be successful at all those things, and be right standing with God. May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

It doesn't have to be a sombre topic. All we need do is accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior and confess Him (words and deeds). There is much joy in knowing him. Fullness of joy oh and didn't you know? pleasures forever more. U know it!!!

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

The Vine!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Don't think I've been cleaning since Tues oh! I thot this week was going to be a week of relaxation before my busiest and final semester begins next week but... It happens to us all every week. When u think Mon -Fri is hectic and u can finally rest during the weekend, the weekend ends up being busier than the week cos you try to squeeze all you need to do in there.

Today is the 31st of August can u believe that, we've made it to the beginning of yet another month. I made it through my month of divine Escape and have entered my month of divine Elevation. God is sooooo faithful. Check this out, I was reading John 15 this morning. Verse 5 says "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.". Nothing!!! Verse 6 says "If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned". Can u imagine. Why would you not want to remain in Him. And do you notice that it says remain, that means you cannot just come and then leave, you have to REMAIN. It is a continuous process. Not in today, out tomorrow.

Verse 7 says "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you". Whatever. hmmn. Verse 18-19 says "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you".

We do not belong to the world but have been chosen out of the world. I just thank God for choosing me. Being connected to Jesus is the best gift ever. Knowing that these were His very words is phenomenal.

Have a blessed weekend and remember His word.

Jesus Freak!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing? Great I am sure. The latter part of yesterday I had an eye ache. lol. That was how it felt. A headache that ached around my eye. You know I already started walking in my dominion this past weekend, so I committed it to God and it's gone. Thank God.

Logged on to update the blog, and came across one of the songs I danced to while in college 'Jesus Freak' by DC Talk. I remember we all danced to the song with so much energy and passion as with all our other dances. The dance was intense. Brings back memories!!! You truly have to be a Jesus freak to get this song.

Click here to listen to the song (Starts Playing like 2 secs after you click). Check out the lyrics below as well (Right click and open in another window so you can look at the lyrics at the same time). Basically talks about separation from worldly ways, acknowledging Christ in every way regardless of what people may think. They also give the example of John the Baptist who people thought was strange. But he was strange for God.

Lyrics
Separated I cut myself clean
From a past that comes back in my darkest dreams
Been apprehended by a spiritual force
And a grace that replaced all the me I've divorced
I saw a man with tattoo on his big fast belly
It wiggled around like marmalade jelly
It took me a while to catch what it said
Cause I had to match the rhyme of his belly with my head
Jesus Saves is what it raved in a typical tattoo green
He stood on a box in the middle of the city
And claimed he had a dream

What will people think when they hear that I'm a Jesus freak
What will people do when they find that it's true
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak
Cause there ain't no disguising the truth

Kamikaze my death is gain
I've been marked by my maker
A peculiar display
The high and lofty they see me as weak
Cause I won't live and die for the power they seek

There was a man from the desert with naps in his head
the sand that he walked was also his bed
The words that he spoke made the people assume
There wasn't too much left in the upper room
With skins on his back and hair on his face
They thought he was strange by the locust he ate
The Pharisee's tripped when they heard him speak
Until the king took the head of this Jesus freak

People say I'm strange, does it make me a stranger
That my best friend was born in a manger
People say I'm strange, does it make me a stranger
That my best friend was born in a manger

What will people think(2x)
What will people do(2x)
I don't really care
What else can I say
There ain't no disguising the truth
Jesus is the way

Did you make it through the song??? lol. Anyway for more recent songs. I found this kool website. It's for the new release 'Pages' by Shane & Shane. Click here to listen to the songs on the album (Takes a while to load but it's totally worth it). You can also check out their website.

OMG!!! I totally have to get this album. All the songs really minister. 'Burn us up' 'In you' Before the throne' Goose bumps. The website is also 'Da Bomb'. The release date of the album is Aug 28. You can also check out their tour info by clicking on the pic.

Have a blessed day.

Power Explosion!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? I trust that ur weekend was good. Our power conference was an explosion! I don't even know where to begin. You basically have to check our church website out for the message. It was really powerful. Click here. (It was a 3 day program Fri-Sun, you can only get to listen to Sunday's message).

We have to realise as Christians that we have authority and power embedded in us.

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth". Gen 1:26

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen". Mark 16:15-20

Basically "go ye into the world" means go into your job, your career, your business, your schools, your events, your gatherings, essentially whenever and wherever you may find yourself, preach the gospel with your behavior, your words, your actions/deeds. God has given us dominion. Like Apostle Wilson said 'that is why even though man cannot run faster than a cheetah, he has invented the fastest vehicles, even though man cannot fly (no wings) he has invented space shuttles'. Yeah! Because we have dominion. Dominion applies to all of men, as he said but we believers have spiritual dominion in addition. As a believer you can conquer not only in the physical but in the spiritual as well. An unbeliever does not have that privilege. He said we are kings. God is the Kings of ...kings.

I want to emphasize the power, authority and dominion we need to apply in our daily lives. We can't be believers, true kings and be 'the laziest person at work', or 'the bottom of class' or 'the one with bad attitude' and so on. We are pacesetters. We should be showing people how it's done not being the on looker ('look'ozade). We need to remind ourselves of the above scriptures, and others like "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" 2 Tim 1:7

Does that mean that we are never to be challenged or tired or weak sometimes??? No. Check this out. His word says "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 2Cor 12:9 NIV As long as we hand over our weaknesses to Him.

One of the songs that was taken during praise & worship by Bobby Connors just also made it resonate. The song is titled 'Takin it back'. On his 'No limits' CD. Click here to view his website. The songs says we need to pull down every stronghold and take back God's kingdom. For real y'all.

Yipee!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? End of summer semester at last. phew! Thank God. It's a huge relief for now. Had a bit of an issue with my daughter and daycare. Dropped her off wed, and they said she had a temp and running tummy and I should come get her...brought her home, she was just fine. No temp, no running tummy... nothing. Took her to the clinic they said she's just fine and dandy. Doctor checked her, no temp, no running tummy, nothing!!! Took her again yday(thurs) and they (daycare) said she had running tummy and I should come get her AGAIN...brought her home and she was just fine...doing great sef. So today I just didn't take her cos obviously she's reacting to something there which I do not know, and secondly, I didn't feel like being in a 'get up and go mode'. You know "Drop everything else you're doing and come and pick her now...". Weird isn't it. Very weird. Talk about stress.

Twas kinda stressful having to deal with that and then having a final on my hands with presentations and all. Who would have predicted that would have happened all around the day I had my final. Of course like most times I left a lot of work till the last minute. My daughter was all over the place, running...screaming...singing...jumping. Wasn't allowing baby to sleep. Therefore baby was crying and not allowing me to do my assignments. So in order to complete all the work I had before class, I had to 'back' him (kinda like using a baby sling) and kneel in front of my desk for hours (of course with eating breaks for both kids), so I could finish all the work I could. My knees and back hurt. lol. Wish I could have recorded (cam) it all. Twas really a funny sight. Hilarious.

Needless to say I came up a bit 'short'. I couldn't finish my status report, and I really didn't think it was a biggie since I did EVERYTHING else but when the time came to turn it in (in class), and the instructor asked us to present our status reports. Oh My gosh! It was so embarrassing having to explain that I didn't have it. The look on her face was awful and the dead silence was worse. The first thing she said was 'You have got to be kidding me, I cannot believe this'. Oops! by the end of the class and my really kool presentation she had smiles all over her face but I tell you, I won't forget that look for a while.

I always push myself and wasn't happy with that. My presentation and other papers were fab but the status report took away from it all a bit. Class was done at 9pm. Once I got home, I had to rush to complete it (kids asleep) and send it in before midnight. I wanted her to check her email in the morning and find it there. I think we should all strive for perfection in all that we do. A little thing can have such a great impact on a situation. Once you have started something, make sure you complete it WELL. Doesn't matter how good a job you've done with the rest. I knew that before, but just got reminded of it again yday. Big Time!

I just thank God for seeing me through the whole semester honestly. Makes me wonder how people without Christ live. The difference with Christ is clear. Even with the greatest challenges He just takes control and gives you grace, strength, joy, peace, so many things in one. He teaches, He guides. He's just too much "O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him". Psalm 34:8

This weekend is going to be 'pumped'. We have our Annual Power Conference this weekend beginning from today and I trust that I will move to my next level of glory in Jesus name. Amen.

System Down!

Hello Friend,

How are you dong today? I'm sure your weekend was great. I was going to upload a post on Saturday but I had problems with my system and still do. Had to back up my files and shut it down for now. I usually don't upload posts on Saturday but wanted to do a fun one with pictures and all. Well I guess we'll save that for another day. lol.

The semester is finally coming to an end on Thursday. Yipee!!! Just need to turn in the rest of my assignments, and give my powerful presentation lol. I haven't even started it yet. Need to get on it once I sign out.

Today is Monday, and I just want to encourage you this morning, that despite all that is happening around the world, God will grant us divine escape. Divine escape from all spiritual, physical, financial, marital, career, and environmental evil in Jesus mighty name. Amen. We 'prayed' this prayer in church and I tell you God is a faithful God. He has already done it.

Whatever trials and tribulations you may be going through. Classify it as a wind blowing for now. It will soon stop. It is a phase that you have to go through. With challenges come growth. It just like with a child. When my daughter was learning how to eat herself, it was a pain. She cried if I didn't feed her but I knew she had to learn to do it herself. Whenever I see her sit down now, and eat all by herself, it gives me great joy and best of all, she enjoys it now. It's the same way. The phases we go through may be painful now, but we have a faithful God, who will see us through. All we need to do is rely completely upon Him and follow in His ways.

In church, the month of September is our month of Divine Elevation. You will escape, and enter into your elevation in Jesus mighty name.

Have a blessed day.

Faith!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Great I'm sure. Been quite busy trying to round off for the semester, and also kick off plans for the biz I told you about. It can be very bothersome especially cos it entails trying to do biz 'over the sea' lol. Running a biz where you are is a lot of work, so you can now imagine trying to do it on another continent. Nija to be specific. I'm in the process of getting and interviewing staff amongst other PROCESSES (believe me there are a lot of processes). There is a Yoruba saying for the way I'm feeling right now (I hope I get the words right). 'O le ka yan la ya'. Meaning like 'it can overwhelm your heart'. But I have handed it all over to God. If I try to do it on the own, '... the arm of flesh will fail'.

We talked about faith at bible study yesterday. We've heard so many teachings on faith but we need to be reminded daily that we (believers) walk by faith, and not by sight 2 Cor 5:7. The moment you begin to rely on your sight, ability or flesh generally. You're on your own. We ought not to go by what we see, but by what we have read from the Word and heard from God. We need to believe it, and yeah believe it COMPLETELY.

Something Asst. Pastor said to remind us, is that every little doubt we have cancels out faith. Hmmm! You need to really think about that. I did. Does that mean a thought of doubt cannot come to our minds? Of course not. I think once the devil tries to sow a seed of doubt through our thoughts, we can counter-act that with the Word. No wonder, we are encouraged to have a word we are holding on to, concerning any situation. So that we can speak it continuously. Accepting the doubtful thought, and pondering upon it, is what we shouldn't do.

May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

Quote!

“As you begin changing your thinking, start immediately to change your behaviour. Begin to act the part of the person you would like to become. Take action on your behaviour. Too many people want to feel, then take action. This never works.”

A!!!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? How was your weekend? Mine was great, Thank God. We are all well. Guess what? I have to start with this. You know I took my 'finals' for statistics on Monday. As strict as the instructor is, so is he efficient as you can imagine (those traits go together). Anyway... He usually posts results at the end of the week i.e. quizzes/tests, mid term exams etc. So when I got up on Saturday I knew the results would be there. You know the feeling I'm sure of 'the churn' in your stomach. Left it till late at night. Signed on to the intranet and with one eye closed scrolled down to where the results would be. It was an A. Praise God I screamed. Never thot I'd be that excited for a grade since I left college. It was tough, and several times I almost gave up and said 'look I'll just do what I can', or 'I can't even stress myself', or 'Let me just settle for a C or do the class again' but God gave me strength to strive for excellence, and He really did it all. I am so grateful.

We all have our desires, and God knows them. I really desire to finish with a 4. 0 average and I know God will do it. So far God has done it, and I know He will maintain it. Statistics threatened to bring it down, but God granted me Divine Escape. A couple of people told me they were repeating the class, and one even said it was his third attempt and that that was the reputation of the class. So I just bless God. "And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:" Deut 28:13 That is my prayer for you today as well.

Church was also great!!! During Sunday School, we had an interesting topic. How do we evangelise with the restrictive laws we have in place in this country? Well people gave a lot of answers and examples. At the end of the day, we learnt that we can evangelise in various ways without breaking rules and regulations e.g via the Internet (emails, web pages, blogs etc), via our daily conversations e.g use of consistent words like bless you, thank God etc, via things that are personal to us e.g stickers on our cars, posters in our offices or little things like those calendars with bible passages on our office tables, and soooooooo many others.

Like my Pastor in college would always remind us. We all have one major assignments on this earth. Preaching the word of God to men (i.e evangelism) He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation Mark 16:15 NIV. And for those in ministry, an additional assignment which is 'the perfection of saints' (i.e preparing God's people/'believers'). "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:" Eph 4:11-13 KJV Most importantly, we can evangelise through our works, our deeds, our actions.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" Matthew 5:16 KJV
"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity".1 Tim 4:12

There is no excuse for not preaching the good news. May God help us all in Jesus mighty name. Service was about 'how to enjoy Divine Escape by being an instrument of praise'. Be sure to check it out on the church link under 'my fave websites' .

Tis' the beginning of a great and blessed week, full of favor, divine escape and testimonies.
