As far as you can see!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Been a really kool weekend. I had a special program in church on Fri, Sat and Sun. I tell you my life is forever changed. I gained so much and I am truly blessed. It really excites me to know that my path is as a shining light, shining brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. I grow more and more each day and I thank God for that.

Mixed feelings at the beginning of the weekend with all I have to pay for and accomplish. So much school work, sometimes I feel I cannot continue. The work load is a lot . That's why fellowship with believers is important, cos you will not leave the presence of God the same. Exhortation and encouragement you know. So I really bless God for this weekend. We had a guest minister come over to share with us and I cannot begin to mention all we learnt. Our Pastor also anointed our feet. Twas a first for me. Never had my feet washed and anointed before and from this moment on wherever I tread is my inheritance. God's power, mercy, favor, grace, peace, presence and glory was evident. So Look out! lol. Seriously.

I have my final exam for statistics tomorrow. Well tomorrow is just some minutes away. Finally when I'm loving the class it's over. It's going to be a very fast 4 hrs I tell you. Been trying to practice with the software. My instructor is quite strict but I'm believing God that at the end of the semester I'll have a testimony concerning the class. Amen.

My biz expansion thingy is also going on oh! but most of the 'goings on' is in my head, and you cannot imagine how fast and constant ideas are running through my head. If I continue to gist you about what happened all weekend, today's post will be too long.

I want to leave you with this. Our guest minister for the weekend, Pastor Sola Kolade said something. I'm only paraphrasing- "You are the only one that can limit yourself cos what you can have, is as far as you can see". We've heard stuff like this again and again, we need to begin to act and not just know. Remember what we said as kids "Actions speak louder than words" Sort of like that, not exactly but sorta. The main point is Action, Action, Action!

I will share some more tomorrow but I have to continue studying for my exam.

Obey God!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? I'm pretty good thank God. Have my final exam for statistics on Monday so I'm working really hard on that. My daughter is settling down in daycare, and I really praise God for that cos He takes care of all my cares. I know it's only the beginning of great great things she shall accomplish in her life. Been kinda busy trying to put my new business plan together. I am trying to revamp my biz using all that I'm learning in school, it is so much work. Just looking at the work ahead can be quite discouraging but you know what? When I face a challenge I know that there is a reward and consequently, 'growth' at the end of it. Great timing right? I had been worried that my final semester would be extremely hectic, and now I have to add growing a biz to it. God is in control.

The joy and the promise that I have is that the latter end of this year will be greater than the first half. It is so in Jesus name and I hope you receive that and tap into it as well.

I want to leave you with this word today. I was supposed to take prayer in church yesterday and while I was preparing, I continuous came across the fact that blessings in the bible are tied to instruction. I know that! I'm sure you do as well but we need to constantly be reminded. If we obey God and do according to His will, he will hearken to our prayers and grant us His blessing. It's just like the unwritten rule of 'there is no better way to loose weight than the classic hardworking way'. In the same light seeking first God's kingdom and His righteousness is the best and only way, all other things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33). May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

How waz ya weekend?

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? How was your weekend? Mine was great. Saturday was full of getting my daugther to sit down and eat at her brand new table like a proper lady, listening to nursery rhymes, and lots of crayon coloring just to get her in the mood for daycare this week. Also trying to get her to stop being shy and get talking. It is well. We're getting there by God's grace oh!

Sunday service was also great as usual. 'The Word' keeps getting better and better every week, and I thank God for that. Yday I learnt that the 'spiritual and creational man' includes both males' and females', as there is no male spirit or female spirit. The spirit is not divided into male/female roles. Where we differ is in our formation and function. The 'formational and functional man' can either be male or female, because our functions differ on the earth. That is why there are places in the bible which refer to 'man', and refer to all (both male and female).

I also learnt that it is important for one to have a spiritual covering in form of a person of a higher calling than oneself. For example, my Pastor is my covering and he in return has a covering in the person of Pastor Adeboye. He used as umbrella as an example. When it rains the umbrella prevents you from being wet. You can draw different analogies from that in other to get the point better. I was really blessed. This past week was also women's week in church. whohuuuuuuuuuu for all the women out there! You are blessed. May you fulfil God's purpose for your life. Your children shall call you blessed, and your husband shall sing your praises in Jesus name, Amen. Even if you're not married or you don't have children yet, receive it.

Yday was also exciting in that I got a special surprise from a special guest. Was really nice having family around (guess who :) . Stayed up so late gisting and catching up on so many things. Advises were exchanged, and prayers as well. I thank God for the visit, it was just unbelievable how the visit all came together last minute. Lovely!

I'm sleeping very late as usual or should I say early cos it's almost time to get up but I'm still awake. Thot I should share some African designed outfits with you today from 'Peridot & Ruby'. The designers are Lola Abiodun and Abisoye Fowora. Click on the pics. They all lead to the same website, so just look at them all, and then if you want to go to their website click on just one pics. There are some interesting one amongst them all.

Far above rubies?

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Great I'm sure. Today is a question and answer day. What really is 'far above rubies'? Well it begins with a question.

Proverbs 31:10
"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies". KJV
"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies". NIV
"A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds" The Message
"Who can find a woman of worth? for her price is far above rubies" Darby Translation

Virtuous woman, wife of noble character, good woman, woman of worth. Hmmn, we all like the sound of it. Are you one?

God is able to make us who we desire to be in Him. It is well.

L8r

We thank God!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Great I hope. I had initially planned to update my post earlier today but had to go stay with my daughter at daycare for a while cos she had been crying (sigh). The first two days were quite smooth but I guess she's beginning to realise it's an everyday thing, and is not liking that idea at all. The adjustment is pretty hectic for us, but knowing it's just a chapter if life is helpful. It'll soon end, and when I look back later it'll be an interesting read.

The week pretty much zoomed by as usual. We thank God keeping us. I wanted to share with you two Cd's you may be interested in getting. Praise and worship is very key. God inhabits the praises of His people. Praise is comely. "Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely" Psalm 147:1.

The first CD "Pure Worship" is one I'm looking forward to getting soon. It is produced by Grammy and Dove Award Winning Producer Chris Harris; Cece Winans, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, Vicki Yohe and many many others! Click on the pics below to check out the release date.

The second CD is Donnie Mcclurkin's Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual songs [Live]. This CD is truly a ministration. You can listen to some of his sound clips. Click here. One of them is "I will" and goes like - "I will sing (4x) Of His goodness, and His kindness, and His mercy, I will sing. (It's a simple song)". If you want to listen to sample from the whole CD, click here (Once the page pops up, click on listen to samples). I particularly love tracks 1,2,3,4,5,18,19 and my favorite 20 but abeg the whole CD is explosive. In Pastor Donnie's words, his prayer "is that the anointing will permeate through his recordings and bless (not impress) all that listen, entertainment is not my goal, but that God be pleased and someone who hears experiences Jesus in a greater way".

Awon naija, be sure to check out laterna ventures.

Have a blessed day.

Leadership!

“Most people who want to get ahead do it backward. They think, 'I'll get a bigger job, then I'll learn how to be a leader.' But showing leadership skill is how you get the bigger job in the first place. Leadership isn't a position, it's a process.”
- John C. Maxwell

Hmmn! Rev... Rev... like we used to scream in college when our dear Pastor would say something that hit home. Short for revelation. I think this quote needs some meditation. A lot of thought processing but then God grants wisdom for us to be able to know what, when and how.

You know the bible says in James 1: 5"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed".

Whew!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? How was your weekend? Mine was soooooooooooo short. Very tiring. My picnic on Saturday was great. House of Joy(Yellow) came 3rd. I wasn't as bummed out as I was last year, tried to have fun but I was too tired. At the end of the day my hands were actually twitching, they still are and I haven't gotten time to rest it. It is well. I look forward to when I can just kick back, relax and enjoy the picnic. Twas nice to spend time with the Strong Tower (family). I really wish we could do stuff like that more often but mennnnnnnn! The work involved is a lot for those organising it.

Sunday service was also da bomb. My Pastor talked about Life's chapters. He was like we need to understand the chapters of life by taking it a chapter at a time beginning from Chapter 1 which is formation Gen 2:7. He stated that creation is not the beginning of the book because creation is eternal. Eternal things do not have an end. For the unmarried brethren (since it was their week), he stated that before beginning the married chapter you need to know how to have a rship with God, and then you learn how to have a rship with urself. If you're always lonely as a single person most likely you will be lonely as a married person and so on. You also have to have a rship with ur environment e.g have a gainful career. A man for example does not have to be rich but ladies make sure he has a career going, if he just sits around in the house playing videos games and flipping channels he will most likely do so after marriage etc. The message was so great, we didn't want service to end. We thank God.

Well got home after service, fixed some food and started dozing off on the sofa but the kids kept screaming and waking me up lol. Had to get my stats exam done. Sat in front of the system for hours trying to figure it out...then read the hand outs trying to figure it out... then made a few calls to try and figure it out... finally sat with the text like the 5th time to try and figure it out... slept like 4am and got up like 6am still trying to figure it out LOL. Ok, but on a more serious note I got some help from someone which really helped me. I have one 30 point question to go and I'll be good. Once I'm done with this class, it'll be a relief, i know you feel me on this one. i haven't had up to 10 hrs sleep since Friday. Isn't that fun?

Got to sit down with this last question, class is in a few hours.

Hey!

Hello Friend!

How are you doing today? Last week was children's wk in my church, and this wk is the unmarried brethren's week. New Rev, they are called unmarried because no man/woman is meant to be single except they so desire. They're just unmarried for the mean time. Main message for bible study yday night was 2 Tim 3:5 "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away". It was really powerful and the message was about keeping away from those who drag you down spiritually, or those who discourage you from being patient in God. Knowing who to be friends with, and who to keep away from. Be friends with those who strengthen your faith, those who are ready to pray with you, and most importantly, we need to have lastly praise for our Father in heaven. I was really blessed.

So for all the unmarried sisters I say unto you in the words of my Pastor "If a man is not faithful to God, he will be unfaithful to you".

Today I have my first class in communications management so I'm looking forward to that. Also looking forward to our church picnic on Saturday, whooohuu!!! I'm yellow house captain (House of Joy). Every time I think about it, my stomach turns cos last year we came third out of four, needless to say I wasn't too happy about that especially when three of our players got disqualified. Those points cost us the crown but I later had to come to terms with it. hmmmmmmn! So anyway I'm just going to have fun this year cos that is what it's all about. Celebration of family. Awww! Isn't family something? We thank God for our families.

Gotta go now but for the unmarried brethren. Click on the pic.

Unbelievable!!!

Hello friend!

How are you doing today? I have a testimony today. Yday, I called the guys that sent me the letter like I said I would and guess what? First of all, they said the letter would not kick in till midnight. If I had not called at the time I did, they would have gone home, and the midnight thingy would have happened and it would have taken 'I don't know what' to turn it around. The lady that answered my call literally ran up and down the place on my behalf. Unbelievable!!! I could not believe it. I could hear her footsteps going up and down for me. It was just divine favor. It's a long story jare, cos I had to call twice, fax some documents and so on. To cut the long story short, the letter was reversed and it was as if I never got it. God did the miraculous yday. It is His doing and it is marvellous in my eyes.

School was kool. You know I'm beginning to love my statistics class. Took me a while to come round but I luv it now. It's kind of fun. Kinda! Got a lot of discouragement today from fellow classmates on my decision to take other courses with my capstone but "... God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:" 2 Cor 9:8 I receive that grace cos I really really need it. I pray God will guide me. I need it, bad. It is well.

I got a Fwd: from lamide (one of my friends) yday, and I thought I should share it with y'all. I think the originator is a Adole Paul. Not sure.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd = That's Relationship!
I shall not want = That's Supply!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures = That's Rest!
He leadeth me beside the still waters = That's Refreshment!
He restoreth my soul = That's Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness = That's Guidance!
For His name sake = That's Purpose!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of t he shadow of death = That's Testing!
I will fear no evil = That's Protection!
For Thou art with me = That's Faithfulness!
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me = That's Discipline!
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies = That's Hope!
Thou annointest my head with oil = That's Consecration!
My cup runneth over = That's Abundance!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life = That's Blessing !
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord = That's Security!
Forever = That's Eternity!

Face it, the Lord is crazy about you.
Send this to people you are crazy about. I thought this was pretty special, just like YOU!!! What is most valuable, is not what we have in our lives, but WHO we have in our lives!
" Do not ask the Lord to Guide your Footsteps if you are not willing to move your Feet" Peace.

Hmmn (sigh)!

Hello Friend!

How are you doing today? My weekend was gud. I got a letter that I did not desire to get on Saturday. It totally dulled my day but I kept trying to get it out of my mind. I literally felt like lying in bed all day, sulking and generally not do anything. But I kept myself busy. Busy so I would not have to think about it. I committed it all into God's hands because like His word says "Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?" Matthew 6:27 I knew worrying would not do me any good. Very difficult to do my friend, very difficult, but wise. Prayed about it, and kept saying 'Monday is just a day away', 'Monday is just a day away', 'Monday is just a day away' and like that it went. It's Monday now. Praise God, and I can at least call and find out why I got the letter. I know it is well. God is 'faith-full'.

Church was great!!! We learnt about Love, which we have heard about so many times. It was really intense this time. Let's just say you want to make sure that you love your fellow brethren or u might be under a camp that you don't think you are (Selah). It was also Children's week in Church. I received that I, and my children shall be a sign and a wonder, and the least that we shall be is great. Isaiah 8:18"Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion".

Guess what else? We are responsible for how our children turn out!!! Needless to say that was intense to hear. Whatever we are is transferable to our children, so we have to make sure that we transfer good stuff. Our lives are the foundation, and pedestal from which our children grow. 2 Tim 1:5 "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also" May God help us in Jesus name.

Have a great day cos' I sure will.

Independence Day!!!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? It's independence day. Yipeeee! Barbecue, fireworks and shopping. I'm not goin to be doing any of the above though, but u can be rest assured 98% of people in the US will. I went for our usual Tuesday prayer intercessory meeting today, and it was great. It is always so good to be in the presence of God praying with God's people. I learnt so much. We prayed about a number of things, and part of it was 'for labourers' i.e. for God to bring more laborers into his vineyard.

Our Pastor read Nehemiah 5b "...but their nobles would not put their shoulders to the work under their supervisors". If you read from verse 3 to 5b you'll understand that the nobles did not want to put their shoulders to the work amongst the other brethren. And the way he explained it is so right. Many of us are too preoccupied to put our shoulders to the work of God. No sacrifice. The Church is now a convenient Church. Are you a convenient Christian? Like the example he gave 'we cannot even wake up and make it to Church for 7 am and we're expecting all the blessings'. Other things he said include 'every good thing we get requires sacrifice, go check it', 'If you put fake gold through the fire that real gold goes through, it cannot withstand it', 'if you had to pick between someone who praises you 7 times and someone who praises you 3 times will you not pick the one who praised you 7 times, the same thing applies with God' and so on.

The truth is that I need to sacrifice a lot more for God cos He has been so merciful to me. I also need to put my neck and shoulders to His work. Whatever it takes. Fact of the matter is, no matter how much I am giving God right now, it is not enough. God totally deserves more. I used the word 'I' cos it starts with self. Someone said afterwards "it's true a lot of people are not ready to sacrifice more time to God and some of those who do, are just looking for position' I was crushed but it was the best thing I could have heard cos I realised that 'that' was the problem. Using the word 'people' instead of 'me' or 'I'. At best use the word 'us' or 'we'. Generally including oneself is best, cos we are all part of the body. May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

Excuses may sometimes come up. Like sometimes I'm like 'I'm the only one in prayer committee who has two kids, and have to make it to Church by 7.30 a.m. and they are both under 2 (yrs), so maybe I need to slow down' But thank God for encouragement. I was encouraged today that it's a sacrifice. It is tough, yes, but my God is tougher. Pastor Segs used to say "EXCUSES STINK". So no more excuses.

How does this tie in with independence day? Well, a lot of fighters, soldiers, activists, politicians, and many many others, actually sacrificed a lot for the US to be where it is today.

I encourage you also today the same way I was encouraged. God deserves better than 'whatever is the best' you're offering Him right now. Do more for God. Sacrifice more for Him. He deserves much more. It is well.

Have a wonderful 4th of July.

Hello Friend!
How are you doing today? Decided to have a bit of fun today. Was almost dozing off in class today and I mean almost. Class was gud. Got my statistics quiz back and it was a 38/40. Anyhow, that was just to give you some gist. I was like' we need to just chill out today, so I put up some shoes I found on the Internet that I liked. I know u gals are goin to be checking out all the 4th of July sales tomorrow (mmn hmmn Frontin like u won't) . Have fun the whole of today.

Thinking!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? My weekend was great. I actually got to rest a bit on Saturday but that meant not completing all my Chapter readings for class later today. It is well. Gisted with my bro for a long time on Saturday, that was really kool. He is trying his hands out on this blogging thingy and I'm so excited cos he is so gifted. Otherwise, Saturday was generally and truly a 'thinking' day for me. Considering that the next day would be our fasting day I was like 'what am I going to aggressively pray for tomorrow?', 'What possessions do I want to possess?' What do I think God wants me to possess/inherit?'. Part of it was really exciting cos I'm looking forward to so much change upwards (moving on to glory) and part of it was sobering (really itching to move to the next level/phase). The sobering aspects was that there were just too many ideas out there and i felt like i was dreaming too big. I thot maybe I had to slow down a bit with my thots. I came across this quote “You have to think anyway, so why not think big?”- Donald Trump

'I'm like' as a believer, I should believe that statement more than an unbeliever because I know that I serve a big God. Why should I not think Big? How will people know I serve a big God? So I can. I can think Big, think Big in a Godly way. I looked up some scriptures.

"Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart".Psalm 37:4
"Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ".Col 3:24
"Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession".Psalm 2:8
"Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass". Psalm 37:5
"Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable".Psalm 145:3
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"John 1:12
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God".Romans 8:14

True enough yday in church we prayed 'bout receiving all we ought to possess/inherit' this month. With the prayers in Church I received that I will begin to manifest His greatness, His goodness, His favor and His power.

I thank God for bringing me to the beginning of yet another month, for his blessings, for seeing me through everything I have been through and for where He is taking me.

But as I think Big, I'll have to hold this scripture to heart "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:" 1 john 5:14. It is really the confidence I have. As long as I have that confidence in God, He will take me through the right route, and the right pace He knows will get me there.
