Hey!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Great I'm sure. My dad was here shortly after my in laws left. So I'm just rounding up my holidays and ceremonies. My grad ceremony was nice and quiet. I didn't do anything cos number 1, I was broke then there were so many things going on in my church. Felt it would be somehow to invite people and take them away from celebrating with others you know. Especially when the ceremony times were the same.

There was a surprise ceremony for my Pastor and his wife. I was really bummed that I cdn't make it. Went for service in the morning, cos the ceremony was in the afternoon. We also had a naming ceremony during the service. It was packed with activity. I just thank God, I'm part of such a wonderful family. God has truly been bestowing so many blessings upon us. We are so so grateful.

My pastor pulled a nice stunt and brought out a ring for his wife after service and went down on one knee. Oh my gosh! Teary eyes everywhere I tell you. I guess every woman in the congregation would have appreciated that. But it just wasn't what he did. It was what he said to her. Gosh! May God continually bless and sweeten their marriage. I receive it for us all married too.

To encourage you this day, i need you to know that no matter what it is you desire or aspire to achieve God can do. He is awesome, He is faithful (despite our faithlessness), and God is true. He will never leave nor forsake us. Our love for the Lord must not wax cold. I noticed nowadays we're all wrapped up in this world of issues. It's not just about that oh! That is the devil trying to take focus away from our Lord. God has great plans for our lives, so we need not worry.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". Jer 29:11 NIV

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end". Jer 29"11 KJV

If we focus on Him, we can never go wrong as opposed to just trying to solve issues in the flesh. In my church February is our month to be divinely settled. God will settle you in Jesus mighty name. Just trust and rely on Him.

May God help us all in Jesus mighty name.

Parenting!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing today? Great I'm sure. I just thank God for the beginning of yet another week. Have so much going on like you I'm sure. Don't we all. Friend of mine had a baby yday. Really kool. So happy and giggly and all.

Both my kids are going to be going to day care today. One is joining the other one, and I'm so anxious. It's the first time in 3 years that I'll be by myself during the day without being pregnant or taking care of a baby. The only times that I've been away from them both is in school and usually in school I'm just being bombarded with so much work my brain is overloaded (thank God school is done with). It's almost like I need therapy for that. When you get so used to something for so long, it's unbelievable how difficult it is detaching from it and to top it all up I have to face the anxiety of my little cutie munchin being away from me for school hours. Funny what we mothers think of. When u're at home, it's crazy. When you get a career going the daycare/school thing is also crazy. What do we do.

I'll get over it. Didn't think I'll make it through my first child being in daycare for a week. Thought I'd go bunkers but it turned out alright. I have spent the last month and a half tending to the flu from one person to the other. Honestly, this needs to stop. The weather is just so awful. It's either freezing or freezing. The little breaks from it just don't count. I really wonder how little kids go through this weather. We haven't had it this cold in a while. I guess we were getting used to the normal cold. Well...

Needless to say such flu brings about additional crankiness, noise making and extra attention. This past week I've also had to deal with a hair situation with my daughter. Washed her hair and it just kept coming off. Talk about a scare. Don't know whussup. She got her hair done like 2 wks ago and I don't know if its an infection, or they braided the hair too tight. My mum says don't worry she'll be fine. The doctor's office sounded like, it's nothing and i don't need to be calling for such issues. Aargh!!!! Sounds like nothing but you should see it. Marching to her daycare tomorrow to investigate lol. I'm just like can i get a break from all this. So guess what? To calm my nerves I watched 'Jon and Kate plus 8'. It's TV show of a couple that has two sets of multiples. 2 girls 'twins' and then 3 boys and 3 girls 'sextuplets'. It's a great nerve calmer cos when you see 8 kids running up and down the whole place and the parents trying to manage the kids. It calms you right away, knowing you i.e I have just 2 kids.

I know they're situation may be a bit different cos she doesn't work or school etc but I tell you taking care of those 8 kids is equivalent to a PhD. lol. Hilarious. If you haven't been watching it. You should check it out. Click here.

Word of encouragement this week. Sometimes when it gets hectic we allow the kids to just run wild all the time but parents are there for structure. Kids needs to learn that there is structure and no other person will teach them that. It's our responsibility. Keep keeping on.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it". Proverbs 22:6

The Year Ahead!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing? Great I'm sure. I don't believe in New Year's resolutions. I believe that as a child of God, I concentrate on the spiritual more. So I believe one needs to converse with God about what one needs to do to progress to the next level of glory in one's life. I don't look at the year as a physical year per se. I just see it as a next level. Anyhow before I repeat myself again lol, what I wanted to say is "what do you desire for your next level?".

I believe in balance, so as I'm trying to improve my spirituality I try to improve my career as well etc, and if I focus on one aspect for a while then I know it is time to focus on another aspect for a while. Proverbs mention balance quite a bit "A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight" Proverbs 11:1. That is opinion though. The bible says "...Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind". Roman 14:5b

So we can break it down into aspects of our lives:
Physical (could be emotional, physical appearance, eating, health, etc)
Spiritual (Spiritual health, prayer, ministry, calling, gifting, serving in church etc)
Marriage (Spouse, kids, in-laws, communication, commitment etc)
Finances (Money, car, house, school fees, gas, bills, payments etc)
Career (work, goals, projects, education, growth etc)
Business (start-up, organization, decisions, hiring, activities, goals, objectives etc)

You can divide these up, depending on which aspects affect you e.g for those that are unmarried, it could be commitment in your relationship, kids/no kids, whatever aspects you divide your life into around these basics, it should work. Then to prayerfully pick a word for each aspect, and ask God what He would have you do concerning each one. May God grant you the wisdom, patience, strength, grace and favor that you need to achieve greatness in all the above in Jesus mighty name.

By the end of this year, God will have elevated us all in Jesus mighty name.

Watch Night Service!

Hello Friend,

How are you doing? Great I'm sure. We're in another year. Can you just believe it. God is so good I tell you. I hope you like went to church for watch night service or generally brought in the new year with prayers and generally focusing on God.

On our way from watch night service. There was an accident on the high way. The cops were so many on both sides of the road. I actually could not phantom what it could be that they were all there for before getting there. On passing we were all just full of thanks. That is someone who probably only just in the few minutes leading up to the new year experienced that. We really shouldn't take anything for granted.

This year, we're going to from glory to glory. Another new step. Higher on our ladder of achievements. In every area of our lives. In Jesus mighty name. Amen. I hope you prayed into the new year as well. So much that we haven't gisted about. I have had my in laws around for Xmas/new year and it's been busy. Full house I tell you. Everyone is probably going to be going back to work proper and regular business tomorrow. This week was still a bit woozy.

If I can get the sun to shine a bit more that will be really great cos I have been battling the flu for the past 4 wks. it's just been going from one person in the house to the next and right now I'm tired of it. Really need to pray it out and dress warm too. Winter here has been the coldest since I moved here. i think. Yeah it has. It's literarily like being in my freezer when outside. Seriously. I never complained before now. lol.

Well if you're still in the holiday mood, it's time to begin to wrap up and get busy. i know you've started work but we need to start some serious work. Do not forget, to have your word for the year.

"But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day". Proverbs 4:18
